bigdata software package provides Software platform for processing vast amounts of data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install bigdata
bigdata is installed in your system.
Make ensure the bigdata package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep bigdata *
You will get with bigdata package name, version, architecture and description in a table
